Surfskate Europe Community Meetup

Welcome to the first community meetup at European level!

We want to create something unique that will reunite all the community leaders for the first time. Barcelona is our home and counts with amazing spots to ride the whole year. What we propose is to share a weekend together, riding and sharing our experiences, get fun and get to know each other. This will be a free event and the goal is to engage with each other, shape the future of surfskating and strengthen our networks. (Yes, the other expenses should be covered by yourself unfortunately)

We are developing a really cool agenda, visiting iconic skateparks around the city and having a blast while we skate all together and share our experiences as coaches and community leaders. You can check the temptative agenda in the event page.

Event Registration

Due to the high interest we have to restrict the participation for two participants from community/city. I hope you understand this. We will be happy to arrange a trip or retreat for your entire community on demand.

We encourage you to fill the registration form once you have bought your tickets so we can be sure you are coming. It is very important to us to know who is coming. Each person should fill their own form.

Meals are not included in the event. We planned some of the meals to have them together, but those will be self-funded.

Accommodation

We have been in touch with Equity Point hostel in Barceloneta. It is a good option for an affordable accommodation (around 36€ per night in 4-bed room). Due to the high demand that Barcelona has, it was impossible to arrange a lower price by individual registrations (we cannot handle everyone's payment at the moment). However, they agreed to manage the group all together if you Surfskate Europe in the Comments/Wishes part of the registration form. This way they will block rooms for our group. But you need to make a reservation as soon as possible!

We know that in some other meetups people had reserved some Airbnb before. This time we expect between 20 and 30 participants which would be impossible. We think is better to stay together and close for these days. But feel free to organize your stay. Just let us know in the form if you are staying at the hostel!

Optional activities

We will be offering some community-building activities, like Yoga and Stand Up Paddle (SUP), that are optional and, some, will be required to be paid individually with an affordable rate. Please choose those activities you want to participate in the form.

Additionally, surfskate coaching (private and groupal sessions) with Mora, Yojany and Manu can be scheduled out of the planned program. If there is enough interest in a group session we can set them up on Friday Morning and Sunday Evening. For individual, sessions please let us know you are interested and we will schedule by private.

Boards availability

In case you don't want to travel with your board, Yow and Long Island will borrow some of their boards. Please let us know in the form that you will require a board.

Communication

After your registration we will add you to a Whatsapp Group for coordinating activities. Please don't abuse or overflood it. It will be used only for coordination between participants.
